My Background
Elaine Barry was born in Limerick City, Ireland. Elaine is the owner of Celtic Corners Gallery, formerly of Beverly and DeBarra Designs. Elaine holds a Bachelors degree in Fine Art and Print, from the Limerick College of Art and Design, her Masters-MAT in the Art of Teaching and a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Diploma. She currently is a Visual Art Teacher. Over the years Elaine has participated in selected solo, group and studio exhibitions throughout Ireland , America and private commissions have reached as far as Japan and Australia.
My Medium
Depending on the visual mood of the painting I use both acrylic and oils.
My Inspiration
Ireland, this native land of mine and her true unique beauty, has always captured me and taken my breath away. Inspiration and the passion to paint has been inspired by the contrast of lush valleys, rugged, wild and dramatic coastline, and from castles to the old grey stone of west Ireland's landscape.
